The Motorola Edge 40 has an overall score of 77.2, which is slightly better than the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G's 76.7 overall score. Although the Motorola Edge 40 is just a bit thicker than Samsung Galaxy M53 5G, it's just a bit lighter and newer. Both phones in this comparison review use Android OS, but the Motorola Edge 40 has newer 13 version while Samsung Galaxy M53 5G has Android 12 version.

Motorola Edge 40 features just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy M53 5G, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a larger amount of RAM. The Motorola Edge 40 counts with a much better looking display than Samsung Galaxy M53 5G, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1080 x 2400, the Motorola Edge 40 also counts with a just a bit higher number of pixels per screen inch.

Galaxy M53 5G and Motorola Edge 40 have extremely similar storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos, both of them have the same 128 GB internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G has just a little bit longer battery performance than Motorola Edge 40, because it has a 5000mAh battery size instead of 4400mAh.
