Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy S20 has a global score of 94.8, which is a lot better than the Motorola Edge 40's 77.2 score. The Samsung Galaxy S20 is a much older and a little thicker cellphone than the Motorola Edge 40, but Samsung was able to build it just a bit lighter anyway. These phones have the same Android 13 OS (Operating System).
The Motorola Edge 40 and the Galaxy S20 have incredibly similar screens, because although the Galaxy S20 has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 1440 x 3200px and a better amount of pixels per inch in the screen. Samsung Galaxy S20 counts with a much faster CPU than Motorola Edge 40, and although they both have 8 cores, the Samsung Galaxy S20 also has more RAM memory.
Galaxy S20 features a lot bigger storage to install applications and games than Motorola Edge 40, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal storage, the Galaxy S20 also has a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB. The Motorola Edge 40 has a little better battery lifetime than Galaxy S20, because it has a 10 percent more battery size.
The Motorola Edge 40 captures clearer photos and videos than Galaxy S20, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a larger back camera sensor shooting better quality videos and pictures, a much more megapixels back-facing camera, a lot bigger aperture to take better photos and videos in poorly lited situations and higher video frame rates.
