Samsung Galaxy S4 has a global score of 79, which is a little bit better than the Motorola Edge 40's 77.2 score. Even though Samsung Galaxy S4 is extremely older and a little bit thicker than Motorola Edge 40, it's body is still way lighter. Both devices in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy S4 has the older 4.4 version and Motorola Edge 40 has Android 13.

Samsung Galaxy S4 features a much better processing power than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has 4 less CPU cores (but faster) and a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with an extra graphics processor. Galaxy S4 counts with a little sharper display than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has a bit worse 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and a much smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit better pixel density.

Motorola Edge 40 has a bit bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Galaxy S4, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. The Motorola Edge 40 features a very superior camera than Galaxy S4, because it has a back facing camera with much more mega pixels, a much bigger camera aperture to capture better low light photos and videos, a way larger back-facing camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a lot higher (4K) video resolution.

The Motorola Edge 40 features a much better battery duration than Galaxy S4, because it has 4400mAh of battery capacity against 2600mAh.
