Comparison review

Xperia Z3 is a little bit better than Motorola Edge 40, getting a 77.3 score against 77.2. Even being the best cellphone in this comparison review, the Xperia Z3 is a noticeably older, just a little bit heavier and thicker cellphone than the Motorola Edge 40. These phones work with Android OS (operating system), but the Xperia Z3 has a more recent 4.4.4 version and Motorola Edge 40 has Android 13, giving you a couple nice extra features and optimized performance.

The Xperia Z3 features a slightly better looking screen than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has way darker display, a really smaller display and a quite lower resolution of 1920 x 1080px, it also counts with a little bit higher pixels amount per inch of screen. Motorola Edge 40 has much more storage for applications and games than Xperia Z3, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity.

The Sony Xperia Z3 features a much greater processing power than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has lesser processing cores and less RAM memory, it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor. The Motorola Edge 40 counts with a much better camera than Xperia Z3, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a back facing camera with way more mega pixels, a lot bigger camera aperture to take better low light captures and videos and a way bigger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.

Motorola Edge 40 features a very superior battery performance than Sony Xperia Z3, because it has 4400mAh of battery capacity instead of 3200mAh.
