Comparison review
The Motorola edge has a general score of 89.6, which is much better than the Asus ROG Phone 8's 79.5 global score. Both phones we compare here come with Android operating system, but the Motorola edge has an older 10 version and Asus ROG Phone 8 has Android 14. Motorola edge is a noticeably older and a bit thicker cellphone than the Asus ROG Phone 8, but Motorola could make it somewhat lighter anyway.
Motorola edge counts with an extremely better processor than Asus ROG Phone 8, although it has less RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. The Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a brighter display than Motorola edge, because it has a bit higher 1080 x 2400px resolution, a bit larger display and a little more pixels per screen inch.
Asus ROG Phone 8 captures a bit better videos and photos than Motorola edge, because although it has a lot lower 50 mega pixels resolution back camera and a tinier diafragm aperture which is not so good for low-light photos and video, it also counts with a bigger back-facing camera sensor which gives a higher photo and video quality and a way better video quality.
The Motorola edge has a way bigger storage to install applications and games than Asus ROG Phone 8, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Motorola edge also has an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB. The Asus ROG Phone 8 features longer battery life than Motorola edge, because it has a 22% greater battery size.
