Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a global score of 90.9, which is just a bit better than the Motorola edge's global score of 89.6. Huawei Mate 40 Pro's construction is somewhat heavier but a little thinner than the Motorola edge, and they were only released 5 months apart. Both of these phones work with the same Android 10 operating system.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro features a bit sharper screen than Motorola edge, because it has a little bit bigger screen, a higher 1334 x 2772px resolution and a little bit better pixel density. The Motorola edge features a lot bigger storage to store more apps and games than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Motorola edge also has a SD memory slot that admits up to 1000 GB.
Huawei Mate 40 Pro has a little bit better hardware performance than Motorola edge, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro also has a higher amount of RAM memory. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro shoots clearer pictures and videos than Motorola edge, because although it has a back camera with a lot worse 50 MP resolution, a worse video quality and a tinier aperture which is not so good for low light photos, it also counts with a lot bigger sensor taking lot higher quality photographs.
The Motorola edge has a little longer battery duration than Huawei Mate 40 Pro, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 4400mAh.
