Motorola edge is better than Samsung Galaxy Note 3, with a global score of 89.6 against 81.2. These phones use Android OS (Operating System), but the Motorola edge has the newer 10 version and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has Android 5.0 version. Motorola edge is a a lot newer device than the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, but it is somewhat thicker and somewhat heavier.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features a brighter display than Motorola edge, because although it has a little bit smaller screen and a little bit lower 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, it also counts with a bit more pixels per inch of display. Motorola edge has a little bit better performance than Galaxy Note 3, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with a larger number of 2.3 GHz cores and more RAM memory.

Motorola edge features a much greater storage to install applications and games than Galaxy Note 3, because it has more internal memory and a SD extension slot that allows up to 1000 GB. The Motorola edge features a very superior camera than Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Motorola edge also has a bigger aperture to take better low light photos, a much bigger back camera sensor capturing much better quality pictures and a way more megapixels back camera.

Motorola edge features a way better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Note 3, because it has a 41% greater battery size.

Although Motorola edge is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Motorola edge, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, letting go a couple features and specs.
