Comparison review

Xperia 1 III has a general score of 93.3, which is a bit better than the Motorola edge's 89.6 overall score. Xperia 1 III is a newer cellphone, and it's also thinner and just a little bit lighter than the Motorola edge. Both of these phones come with Android operating system, but the Xperia 1 III has newer 11 version while Motorola edge has Android 10 version, providing the user lots of additional features.

Sony Xperia 1 III features just a bit better processing power than Motorola edge, and although they both have 8 cores, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has 6 GB more RAM. Xperia 1 III features a more vivid screen than Motorola edge, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher display pixels density and a much higher resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels.

The Xperia 1 III counts with just a bit bigger memory for games and applications than Motorola edge, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Xperia 1 III also has a SD card slot that holds up to 1 TB. Xperia 1 III's battery life is just as good as the Motorola edge one. The Motorola edge counts with a superior camera than Xperia 1 III, because although it has lower 30 frames per second video frame rate and a tinier aperture which is not favorable for low-light photos and videos, and they both have the same sensor size and the same video quality, the Motorola edge also counts with a camera with much more mega-pixels.

Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Motorola edge, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Motorola edge. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Xperia 1 III, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Motorola edge, giving up some features and specs.
