Comparison review

The Motorola edge is better than the Xperia Z3, having an 89.6 score against 77.3. The Motorola edge design is noticeably newer, but a bit thicker and just a little bit heavier than Xperia Z3. These devices come with Android OS (operating system), but the Motorola edge has an older 10 version while Xperia Z3 has Android 4.4.4.

Xperia Z3 features a much better screen than Motorola edge, because although it has a little worse resolution of 1920 x 1080px and a much smaller display, it also counts with a quite better display density. The Motorola edge has a much better memory to store more apps and games than Xperia Z3, because it has 224 GB more internal memory capacity and a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 1000 GB.

Sony Xperia Z3 features a little bit better hardware performance than Motorola edge, because although it has an inferior number of cores (although they are faster) and less RAM memory, it also counts with an additional graphics processing unit. The Motorola edge shoots better photos and videos than Sony Xperia Z3, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Motorola edge also has a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better captures in low-light environments, a way more megapixels camera and a way larger back-facing camera sensor taking way higher quality videos and pictures.

The Motorola edge has a very superior battery performance than Xperia Z3, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity against 3200mAh.

Although Motorola edge is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xperia Z3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xperia Z3. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Motorola edge, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Xperia Z3, giving up a couple specifications.
