Comparison review

The Motorola edge has a global score of 89.6, which is much better than the Xperia Z5's 77.6 overall score. Both phones in this review work with Android OS, but the Motorola edge has a more recent 10 version and Xperia Z5 has Android 5.1, offering a lot of extra features and optimized performance. Although Motorola edge is noticeably newer than Xperia Z5, it's heavier and thicker.

Xperia Z5 and Motorola edge have similar CPUs, because although the Xperia Z5 has less RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, it also counts with an extra GPU. Xperia Z5 has a better screen than Motorola edge, because although it has a way smaller screen and a little lower 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, it also counts with a little greater pixels density.

The Motorola edge has much more storage capacity to install applications and games than Xperia Z5, because it has 256 GB internal memory and a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 1000 GB. Motorola edge shoots much clearer photos and videos than Xperia Z5, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the same aperture and the same video frame rate, the Motorola edge also has a back-facing camera with a much better 64 mega-pixels resolution and a lot bigger sensor.

Motorola edge features a much better battery life than Xperia Z5, because it has a 55 percent bigger battery size.

Motorola edge costs more than Sony Xperia Z5, but you can get a better phone for that extra money.
