Motorola edge is better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, with an 89.6 score against 81.1. Both phones in this comparison review work with the same Android 10 OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't see any difference regarding that. Even though the Motorola edge and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro were released with only 0 months difference, Motorola edge's construction is just a bit thicker but lighter.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro's CPU is just as good as the processor in Motorola edge, both of them have a 6 GB RAM memory and 8 cores. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro features a display that's very similar to Motorola edge's display, and although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has a little bit higher display density and a bit higher 1080 x 2400px resolution, they both have a same size screen.
Motorola edge counts with a very superior storage capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, because it has 256 GB internal storage and a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 1000 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro's camera is just as good as Motorola edge's camera, and although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for shooting photographs or videos in low light environments, they both have the same video frame rate, a same resolution back camera, the same sensor size and the same (4K) video quality.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro counts with a little longer battery performance than Motorola edge, because it has a 12% larger battery size.
Although Motorola edge is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, giving up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
