The Xperia XA2 Plus is slightly better than the Moto E40, getting a general score of 78.6 against 71.8. Both phones in this review use Android OS (operating system), but the Xperia XA2 Plus has a more recent 8.0 Oreo version while Moto E40 has Android 11 version, so it gives some extra features and better performance.
The Xperia XA2 Plus has a more vivid display than Moto E40, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with more pixels per inch in the screen and a much better 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution. Sony Xperia XA2 Plus features a bit better processing power than Moto E40, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus also has a larger amount of RAM.
The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus takes better photos and videos than Moto E40, although it has a camera with a much worse 23 mega-pixels resolution, they both have the same aperture. Xperia XA2 Plus has a much bigger storage to store more apps and games than Moto E40, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory capacity, the Xperia XA2 Plus also has a SD card slot that holds up to 400 GB.
The Moto E40 counts with a much longer battery performance than Sony Xperia XA2 Plus, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3580mAh.
