The Alcatel 5V has an overall score of 67.8, which is just a bit better than Moto G (2014)'s 61.7 general score. Both phones in this review use Android OS, but the Alcatel 5V has the newer 8.1 Oreo version while Moto G (2014) has Android 5.0 version, counting with some additional features. Alcatel 5V's design is much newer and way thinner than the Moto G (2014)'s, although it is just a bit heavier.
Alcatel 5V features a bit faster processing unit than Motorola Moto G (2014), because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processing unit, it also counts with more RAM and a larger number of cores. The Moto G (2014) has a brighter screen than Alcatel 5V, because although it has a quite lower 1280 x 720 resolution and a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little greater pixels density.
The Alcatel 5V counts with a much greater memory capacity for games and applications than Moto G (2014), because it has more internal storage capacity and a slot for an external memory card that supports up to 128 GB. The Alcatel 5V counts with a really longer battery life than Moto G (2014), because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
Alcatel 5V captures a bit better photographs and videos than Motorola Moto G (2014), because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for low light photography and videos, it also counts with a way higher 12 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera and a way higher video quality.
Despite of being the best phone in this comparison, Alcatel 5V is also cheaper, which makes it easy to pick between these devices.
