Moto G 5G Plus has a general score of 82.6, which is a bit better than Motorola Edge 40's global score of 77.2. Although it's the best cellphone in this review, the Moto G 5G Plus design is a lot older, heavier and somewhat thicker than the Motorola Edge 40. The Motorola Edge 40 counts with a little bit better display than Motorola Moto G 5G Plus, although it has a little smaller screen, a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a little inferior number of pixels per display inch.
The Moto G 5G Plus has a much better performing processor than Motorola Edge 40, although it has 4 GB lesser RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor. The Moto G 5G Plus counts with a much bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has just 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 1000 GB.
Motorola Edge 40 captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Motorola Moto G 5G Plus, and although they both have the same video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a much bigger sensor taking more light and vivid colors, a better 50 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera and a larger aperture.
Moto G 5G Plus counts with just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Motorola Edge 40, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity instead of 4400mAh.
