Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 8 is slightly better than the Moto G 5G Plus, getting a general score of 83.3 against 82.6. The Xiaomi Mi 8 design is thinner and lighter than the Moto G 5G Plus, although it was released 2 years before. Xiaomi Mi 8 has a bit more vivid display than Motorola Moto G 5G Plus, although it has a little worse resolution of 1080 x 2248, a little bit lower display density and a little smaller display.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 has a bit better CPU than Moto G 5G Plus, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also has a larger amount of RAM. Xiaomi Mi 8 has a bit more memory capacity to install applications and games than Moto G 5G Plus, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory.
The Motorola Moto G 5G Plus has a superior battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity. The Moto G 5G Plus has a much better camera than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Moto G 5G Plus also has a larger aperture to capture better images in low-light situations, a much bigger back camera sensor capturing much higher quality photographs and a camera with a much better 48 megapixels resolution.
