Huawei Mate 8 has a global score of 77.4, which is slightly better than Moto G Fast's 72.2 score. The Huawei Mate 8 construction is just a little lighter and thinner than the Moto G Fast, even though it was released 5 years before. Huawei Mate 8 has a little sharper screen than Moto G Fast, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a greater amount of pixels per inch in the display and a higher 1080 x 1920 resolution.
Huawei Mate 8 has a little bit better processing power than Motorola Moto G Fast, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate 8 also has a larger amount of RAM memory. The Huawei Mate 8 counts with a much greater memory capacity for games and applications than Moto G Fast, because although it has an external memory slot that supports up to 128 GB against 512 GB, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity.
The Motorola Moto G Fast features just a bit better camera than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have a back facing camera with a 16 megapixels resolution, the Motorola Moto G Fast also has a larger aperture for better low light captures and videos and a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.
Huawei Mate 8 and Moto G Fast feature incredibly similar batteries performance.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Motorola Moto G Fast, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Motorola Moto G Fast. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Huawei Mate 8, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Motorola Moto G Fast, resigning a couple specs and features.
