Both of these devices work with Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei Mate X has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Moto G Fast has Android 11 version, giving you a couple nice extra features.
The Huawei Mate X counts with a bit better hardware performance than Motorola Moto G Fast, and although they both have 8 cores, the Huawei Mate X also has more RAM. Huawei Mate X counts with a sharper display than Motorola Moto G Fast, because it has much more pixels per screen inch, a bigger display and a way higher 2200 x 2480 resolution.
Motorola Moto G Fast features a better camera than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a lot worse 16 mega-pixels resolution camera and a much smaller camera sensor, it also counts with a larger camera aperture to take better photos and video in low light situations. Huawei Mate X has a way bigger memory for games and applications than Moto G Fast, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory.
The Huawei Mate X features just a little bit longer battery life than Motorola Moto G Fast, because it has a 4500mAh battery size.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Moto G Fast, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto G Fast. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy the Moto G Fast, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your budget.
