Motorola Edge 40 is a little bit better than the Moto G Fast, with a general score of 77.2 against 72.2. Motorola Edge 40 is a way newer cellphone, and it is also somewhat thinner and somewhat lighter than the Moto G Fast. These phones include Android OS (Operating System), but Motorola Edge 40 has 13 version and Moto G Fast has Android 11 version, so it provides you a couple nice extra features and enhanced performance.
The Moto G Fast features a very superior hardware performance than Motorola Edge 40, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have 8 cpu cores. Motorola Edge 40 shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Moto G Fast, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same video definition, the Motorola Edge 40 also has a larger aperture for better photography and video in low-light environments, a way larger sensor which gives a way higher image and video quality and a back camera with lot more mega-pixels.
