The Xperia 5 II is much better than the Moto G Fast, getting an 87.2 score against 72.2. The Xperia 5 II is a somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner cellphone than the Moto G Fast, although both of them were released with only a few months difference. Xperia 5 II counts with a bit faster processor than Moto G Fast, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xperia 5 II also has a higher amount of RAM.

Sony Xperia 5 II features a more vivid screen than Moto G Fast, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot higher pixels amount per inch in the display and a way better resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels. Sony Xperia 5 II counts with a bit better camera than Motorola Moto G Fast, because although it has a worse (4K) video definition and a back-facing camera with a way lower 12 MP resolution, and they both have a F1.7 diafragm aperture, the Sony Xperia 5 II also counts with a lot bigger sensor taking lot better quality pictures and videos.

The Xperia 5 II features a much greater storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Motorola Moto G Fast, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 1000 GB and 128 GB internal memory. The Sony Xperia 5 II's battery life is very similar to Motorola Moto G Fast's battery performance.

Although Xperia 5 II is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Motorola Moto G Fast, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Motorola Moto G Fast. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Xperia 5 II, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Motorola Moto G Fast, resigning some specifications.
