The HTC One M9 has a global score of 77.7, which is a little bit better than Motorola Moto G Play's 71.3 global score. HTC One M9 is a noticeably older and just a little thicker phone than the Motorola Moto G Play, but HTC was able to build it way lighter anyway. The HTC One M9 counts with a lot better display than Moto G Play, because although it has a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a much higher display pixel density and a better resolution of 1920 x 1080px.
Moto G Play has a lot bigger storage capacity for games and applications than HTC One M9, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Moto G Play also has a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 512 GB. HTC One M9 counts with a superior processor than Moto G Play, and although they both have the same number of cores and the same RAM amount, the HTC One M9 also has a graphics processing unit and a 64 bits processing unit.
The HTC One M9 captures slightly better photographs and videos than Motorola Moto G Play, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is worse for low-light photos and videos, it also counts with a much better 3840x2160 video quality, a much more MP back camera and a way bigger camera sensor.
The Moto G Play has a much better battery lifetime than HTC One M9, because it has a 76% greater battery capacity.
The HTC One M9 costs a bit more than Moto G Play, but it's still a great deal, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
