Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) has a general score of 85.2, which is much better than Motorola Moto G Power's global score of 76.1. Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018)'s construction is a bit lighter and thinner than Motorola Moto G Power, even though it was released only 17 months before. The Galaxy A9 (2018) has just a little better processing power than Motorola Moto G Power, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Galaxy A9 (2018) also has 2 GB more RAM.

The Moto G Power and the Galaxy A9 (2018) feature incredibly similar screens, although the Galaxy A9 (2018) has a just a bit worse pixel density, a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2220 and a bit smaller screen. Galaxy A9 (2018) features much more memory capacity to store more apps and games than Motorola Moto G Power, and although they both have a SD card slot that admits up to 512 GB, the Galaxy A9 (2018) also has 128 GB internal storage.
