Galaxy M12 has an overall score of 80, which is just a bit better than Motorola Moto G Power's 76.1 global score. Both of these phones use Android operating system, but Galaxy M12 has 10 version while Motorola Moto G Power has Android 11 version. The Galaxy M12 is a somewhat heavier device than the Motorola Moto G Power, but both are equally thin.

Moto G Power features a better screen than Galaxy M12, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a way higher 1080 x 2300 resolution and a higher amount of pixels per display inch. Galaxy M12 features a better memory capacity for applications and games than Moto G Power, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage, the Galaxy M12 also has a SD memory slot that admits up to 1 TB.

Moto G Power and Galaxy M12 have incredibly similar CPUs, both have a Octa-Core processor and 4 GB of RAM memory. The Galaxy M12 takes clearer pictures and videos than Motorola Moto G Power, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not recommended for low-light photography and videos, and they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Galaxy M12 also counts with a camera with a much higher resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy M12 features improved battery duration than Moto G Power, because it has a 20 percent larger battery capacity.
