Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is slightly better than the Moto G Power, getting an 81.9 score against 76.1. Although it's the best device in our current comparison, Samsung Galaxy S8 Active's construction is older, a little heavier and just a little thicker than the Moto G Power. Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with a better looking screen than Moto G Power, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per inch in the display and a higher 1440 x 2960 resolution.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Active features a bit better performance than Motorola Moto G Power. They have a 4 GB RAM and 8 processing cores. The Moto G Power has a slightly better memory capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy S8 Active, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal memory, the Moto G Power also has a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB.

The Motorola Moto G Power features better battery duration than Galaxy S8 Active, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity. Moto G Power captures a little bit better videos and photos than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a smaller back camera sensor shooting lower quality videos and photos, and they both have a same size diafragm aperture, the same video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Moto G Power also counts with a back-facing camera with a much better 16 mega pixels resolution.

Although Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Moto G Power, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto G Power. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, otherwise you can save some money and get the Moto G Power, giving up a couple features and specs.
