Motorola Edge 40 is just a bit better than the Moto G Stylus 5G (2025), with a 77.2 score against 71.9. Both phones in this review use Android OS (operating system), but Motorola Edge 40 has 13 version while Moto G Stylus 5G (2025) has Android 15 version. Motorola Edge 40 features a CPU that is very similar to Moto G Stylus 5G (2025)'s CPU, both have 8 CPU cores and 8 GB of RAM.
The Motorola Edge 40 has a lot better looking display than Moto G Stylus 5G (2025), although it has a little smaller screen and way less brightness. Moto G Stylus 5G (2025) takes slightly better photos and videos than Motorola Edge 40, although it has a tinier sensor shooting lower quality videos and photographs and a lot smaller camera aperture which is not nice for capturing images and videos in poorly lited situations, they both have the same video frame rates, the same resolution back-facing camera and the same video definition.
Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2025) has a very superior storage capacity for games and applications than Motorola Edge 40, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2025) also has a SD extension slot that holds a maximum of 2 TB. The Moto G Stylus 5G (2025) counts with a bit better battery lifetime than Motorola Edge 40, because it has a 5000mAh battery size.
