The Moto G31 has a general score of 77, which is slightly better than the Galaxy J8's 76.7 global score. The Moto G31 construction is newer, but a bit heavier and just a bit thicker than Galaxy J8. These devices have Android operating system, but the Moto G31 has newer 11 version while Galaxy J8 has Android 10 version, offering a lot of extra features.

The Motorola Moto G31 has a more vivid screen than Galaxy J8, because it has a lot better resolution of 1080 x 2400px, a better pixel density and a little bigger screen. The Moto G31 has a lot bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy J8, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Moto G31 also has a SD memory slot that supports up to 1 TB.

Moto G31 has a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy J8. Both have a Octa-Core CPU and a 4 GB RAM memory. The Moto G31 has a really longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy J8, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3500mAh. Motorola Moto G31 captures much clearer pictures and videos than Samsung Galaxy J8, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Motorola Moto G31 also counts with a back-facing camera with lot more megapixels.
