Comparison review
The Galaxy M40 is much better than Motorola Moto G31, getting a global score of 85 against 77. The Galaxy M40 is an much older device than Motorola Moto G31, but Samsung managed to make it just a little thinner and just a little bit lighter. These devices come with Android OS, but Galaxy M40 has the previous 10 version and Motorola Moto G31 has Android 11.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 features a bit better hardware performance than Moto G31, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy M40 also has a higher amount of RAM. Samsung Galaxy M40 features a screen that's very similar to the Motorola Moto G31 one, although the Samsung Galaxy M40 has a bit smaller screen, a little less pixels per inch of display and a bit lower 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy M40 features a little bit better memory to store more apps and games than Moto G31, because although it has a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 512 GB against 1 TB, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. The Motorola Moto G31 features a superior battery duration than Galaxy M40, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3500mAh.
The Galaxy M40 counts with a slightly better camera than Motorola Moto G31, because although it has a much worse 32 megapixels resolution camera, it also counts with a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better photos and videos in poorly lited situations and a much higher 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.
