Moto Z3 Play is just a bit better than Moto G4 Plus, having a global score of 76.3 against 72.1. The Moto Z3 Play design is way newer and thinner than Moto G4 Plus's, but it is also just a little heavier. The Motorola Moto Z3 Play features a bit faster CPU than Moto G4 Plus. Both of them have a Octa-Core CPU and a 4 GB RAM.
Motorola Moto Z3 Play has a little sharper screen than Moto G4 Plus, because it has a slightly higher 1080 x 2160 resolution, a bit larger display and a little better pixel count in each screen inch. Motorola Moto Z3 Play shoots slightly better photos and videos than Moto G4 Plus, because although it has a lot less mega-pixels back-facing camera, it also counts with a way better (4K) video definition and a bigger aperture to capture better low-light photos and videos.
Moto Z3 Play has a way bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Moto G4 Plus, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage, the Moto Z3 Play also has a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 1,95 TB. Motorola Moto Z3 Play counts with a battery lifetime that is very similar to the battery lifetime in Moto G4 Plus.
Although Motorola Moto Z3 Play is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Motorola Moto G4 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Motorola Moto G4 Plus. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Motorola Moto Z3 Play, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Motorola Moto G4 Plus, giving up some specifications.
