Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has an overall score of 77.5, which is slightly better than the Motorola Moto G4 Plus's global score of 72.1. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 design is newer and notably thinner, but much heavier than the Motorola Moto G4 Plus. The Moto G4 Plus has a little bit better looking display than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1080 x 1920 resolution, the Moto G4 Plus also counts with a little bit greater number of pixels in each inch of display.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with a bit faster CPU than Moto G4 Plus. They have a 4 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 takes clearer photos and videos than Motorola Moto G4 Plus, because although it has a way less mega pixels resolution camera in the back and a smaller aperture, it also counts with a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a much better memory capacity to store more apps and games than Motorola Moto G4 Plus, and although they both have an external memory slot that allows up to 128 GB, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 also has 64 GB more internal storage capacity. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Moto G4 Plus, because it has 5300mAh of battery capacity.
Although Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Moto G4 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Moto G4 Plus. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Moto G4 Plus, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your budget.
