The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is better than Moto G5 Plus, getting a global score of 82.9 against 74.6. The Huawei Mate 20 Pro design is newer and thinner than Moto G5 Plus's, but it is also somewhat heavier. Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a bit better looking display than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because it has a better pixels amount per inch in the screen, a way higher resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels and a bigger screen.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a slightly better storage capacity for apps and games than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 64 GB more internal memory capacity. Huawei Mate 20 Pro counts with just a little better processing power than Moto G5 Plus, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a greater camera than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because although it has a tinier camera aperture, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video resolution, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro also counts with a lot bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a back camera with much more megapixels.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro features a much longer battery lifetime than Moto G5 Plus, because it has a 4200mAh battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Moto G5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Moto G5 Plus. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Moto G5 Plus, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
