Comparison review
Huawei Mate 8 has a score of 77.4, which is a little bit better than the Moto G5 Plus's general score of 74.6. Huawei Mate 8 is an older and heavier phone than the Moto G5 Plus, but Huawei managed to make it somewhat thinner anyway. Huawei Mate 8 counts with a bit more powerful CPU than Motorola Moto G5 Plus. Both of them have 8 CPU cores and a 4 GB RAM memory.
Motorola Moto G5 Plus features a little more vivid display than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a bit smaller display, and they both have the same 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, the Motorola Moto G5 Plus also counts with a quite better screen pixels density. Moto G5 Plus takes a little bit better photos and videos than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a camera with a much worse resolution, it also counts with a bigger diafragm aperture and a way better (4K) video quality.
The Huawei Mate 8 has a much bigger storage to store more apps and games than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, and although they both have a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 128 GB, the Huawei Mate 8 also has 128 GB internal storage capacity. Huawei Mate 8 counts with longer battery lifetime than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because it has a 4000mAh battery size instead of 3000mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Moto G5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto G5 Plus. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Huawei Mate 8, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Moto G5 Plus, letting go a couple specs and features.
