Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has an overall score of 78.7, which is a little bit better than Moto G5 Plus's global score of 74.6. Huawei Mate 9 Pro's body is noticeably thinner but just a little heavier than Moto G5 Plus, and they were released with only a couple months difference. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a little sharper screen than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because it has a better 1440 x 2560px resolution, a quite larger display and a better pixel density.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a little bit better memory for applications and games than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a bit better CPU than Moto G5 Plus, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also has 2 GB more RAM.
Moto G5 Plus and Huawei Mate 9 Pro both count with incredibly similar cameras, and although the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a lot tinier aperture which is not so good for low light images and a smaller sensor which gives a lower image and video quality, they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the same video frame rates and a same resolution back-facing camera.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro has longer battery life than Moto G5 Plus, because it has a 33% larger battery size.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Moto G5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto G5 Plus. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate 9 Pro, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Moto G5 Plus, resigning a couple specifications.
