Huawei P30 has an overall score of 81.7, which is just a bit better than Motorola Moto G5 Plus's global score of 74.6. The Huawei P30 construction is notably newer and incredibly thinner, but also just a bit heavier than Motorola Moto G5 Plus. The Huawei P30 has a little faster processor than Moto G5 Plus, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei P30 also has a higher amount of RAM.
Huawei P30 has a little bit better screen than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because although it has a little lower display density, it also counts with a bigger screen and a slightly higher 1080 x 2340px resolution. The Huawei P30 shoots greater photographs and videos than Moto G5 Plus, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not recommended for low light captures and video, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Huawei P30 also counts with a way bigger sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a camera with much more mega-pixels.
The Huawei P30 counts with a slightly bigger storage capacity for applications and games than Moto G5 Plus, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 64 GB more internal storage. The Huawei P30 features improved battery performance than Moto G5 Plus, because it has 3650mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.
Although Huawei P30 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Motorola Moto G5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Motorola Moto G5 Plus. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Huawei P30, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Motorola Moto G5 Plus, giving up a couple features and specs.
