The Moto G5 Plus is a little bit better than the Moto G8, having a score of 74.6 against 74.4. Despite of the fact the Moto G5 Plus is much older and just a little bit thicker than the Moto G8, it's construction is still somewhat lighter. The Moto G5 Plus has a better looking display than Moto G8, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a better resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a much better display pixels density.
Motorola Moto G8 has a better memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Moto G5 Plus, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Motorola Moto G8 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 512 GB. The Moto G5 Plus and the Motorola Moto G8 both have very similar CPUs, both of them have the same RAM memory amount and 8 CPU cores.
The Moto G8 counts with improved battery duration than Moto G5 Plus, because it has a 4000mAh battery size. The Motorola Moto G8 features just a bit better camera than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the same video frame rates and a same size diafragm aperture, the Motorola Moto G8 also has a back-facing camera with way more mega pixels.
