The Moto G8 Power has an overall score of 76, which is a bit better than the Motorola Moto G5 Plus's general score of 74.6. The Moto G8 Power is a incredibly heavier cellphone than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, but both of them are equally thin. Motorola Moto G5 Plus features a bit sharper display than Moto G8 Power, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a bit greater display pixels density.

The Moto G8 Power features more memory to store more games and applications than Moto G5 Plus, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Moto G8 Power also has an external memory card slot that holds up to 512 GB. The Motorola Moto G8 Power and Moto G5 Plus have very similar processing units, they have a 4 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores.

Motorola Moto G8 Power features a much better battery performance than Moto G5 Plus, because it has a 5000mAh battery size instead of 3000mAh. Moto G8 Power has a slightly better camera than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because although it has a tinier sensor taking worse quality videos and photographs, and they both have the same video frame rates, the same video definition and a same size aperture, the Moto G8 Power also counts with a way higher 16 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera.

Motorola Moto G8 Power is a little more expensive than Moto G5 Plus, but it's still a convenient choice, as you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
