Moto G9 Play is slightly better than the Moto G5 Plus, with a global score of 76.7 against 74.6. Moto G9 Play is a noticeably newer and just a bit thinner device than the Moto G5 Plus, although it is notably heavier. The Motorola Moto G5 Plus and the Motorola Moto G9 Play both count with extremely similar CPUs, they have the same RAM memory amount and 8 cores.
The Moto G5 Plus features a much better looking display than Motorola Moto G9 Play, because although it has a much smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher amount of pixels per screen inch and a better 1080 x 1920 resolution. The Moto G9 Play captures much clearer photos and videos than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video definition and a same size diafragm aperture, the Moto G9 Play also has a much bigger back camera sensor providing a much higher image quality, a much more megapixels back camera and higher 60 fps video frame rates.
The Moto G9 Play has a better storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Moto G5 Plus, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Moto G9 Play also has a SD memory slot that holds up to 512 GB. Moto G9 Play has a really longer battery duration than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.
