The Samsung Galaxy J8 is a bit better than Moto G5 Plus, with a 76.7 score against 74.6. The Samsung Galaxy J8 design is newer and thinner, but heavier than the Moto G5 Plus. Moto G5 Plus features a more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy J8, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a much greater number of pixels per inch in the display.

The Moto G5 Plus counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy J8. They have the same RAM memory amount and a Octa-Core processor. Moto G5 Plus captures slightly better photographs and videos than Galaxy J8, because although it has a way less mega pixels resolution back-facing camera, and they both have a F1.7 camera aperture, the Moto G5 Plus also counts with a bigger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a much better 3840x2160 video resolution.

Galaxy J8 features slightly more memory capacity to install games and applications than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy J8 also has a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 256 GB. Samsung Galaxy J8 has a bit superior battery performance than Moto G5 Plus, because it has a 17% larger battery size.
