Comparison review

Xperia 1 is better than Moto G5 Plus, getting an 82.6 score against 74.6. Although Xperia 1 is somewhat heavier than Moto G5 Plus, it's thinner and noticeably newer. The Xperia 1 features a much better looking display than Moto G5 Plus, because it has a lot higher 1644 x 3840 resolution, a larger display and way more pixels per inch in the display.

The Xperia 1 features a bit faster CPU than Moto G5 Plus, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Xperia 1 also has 2 GB more RAM memory. The Xperia 1 shoots a bit better photographs and videos than Moto G5 Plus, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor capturing less light and washed colors and slower video frame rate, and they both have a 12 megapixels resolution back camera and the same (4K) video definition, the Xperia 1 also counts with a larger camera aperture.

Xperia 1 features a much greater memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 512 GB and 128 GB internal storage capacity. Xperia 1 has just a bit longer battery life than Moto G5 Plus, because it has a 3330mAh battery size.

Although Sony Xperia 1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Moto G5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Moto G5 Plus. If you want to save some money, you can get Moto G5 Plus, letting go a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
