The Sony Xperia 1 III is way better than the Motorola Moto G5 Plus, having a 93.3 score against 74.6. The Sony Xperia 1 III body is way newer and thinner, but heavier than the Motorola Moto G5 Plus. The Xperia 1 III has a more vivid display than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because it has a bigger display, a much higher 1644 x 3840 resolution and a lot more pixels per inch of display.

Sony Xperia 1 III features a little better processing power than Moto G5 Plus, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has a higher amount of RAM memory. Xperia 1 III features a much bigger memory capacity to install applications and games than Moto G5 Plus, because it has more internal memory and a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 1 TB.

The Sony Xperia 1 III captures much better photographs and videos than Moto G5 Plus, and although they both have a F1.7 aperture, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a 12 MP resolution back camera, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has a lot bigger sensor capturing lot better quality videos and pictures and better 120 fps video frame rates.

The Xperia 1 III counts with a very superior battery life than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because it has a 50% more battery capacity.

Although Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Motorola Moto G5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Motorola Moto G5 Plus. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Xperia 1 III, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Motorola Moto G5 Plus, letting go some specifications.
