Comparison review

Xperia XZ2 Premium has a score of 82.2, which is much better than the Motorola Moto G5 Plus's 74.6 general score. Xperia XZ2 Premium's design is newer than the Motorola Moto G5 Plus's, but it's somewhat thicker and incredibly heavier. The Xperia XZ2 Premium has a lot better screen than Moto G5 Plus, because it has a quite bigger display, a way higher 2160 x 3840 resolution and a lot greater number of pixels per inch of display.

Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a bigger storage to install games and applications than Moto G5 Plus, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has an external SD slot that holds up to 400 GB. Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a bit better hardware performance than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has more RAM memory.

The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features better battery duration than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because it has a 3540mAh battery capacity against 3000mAh. Xperia XZ2 Premium has just a bit better camera than Moto G5 Plus, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is not nice for shooting images and/or video in low light environments, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also counts with a much more mega pixels back camera and a larger sensor shooting better quality videos and pictures.

Although Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Moto G5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Moto G5 Plus. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, else you can save some dollars and buy the Moto G5 Plus, letting go some specifications.
