Comparison review

Xperia Z5 has a general score of 77.6, which is a little bit better than the Motorola Moto G5 Plus's 74.6 global score. Xperia Z5's construction is a lot thinner and just a bit lighter than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, although it was released about a year before. The Xperia Z5 features a brighter screen than Motorola Moto G5 Plus. Both of them have a same size display, a greater amount of pixels per inch of screen and the same resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

The Xperia Z5 features just a bit better performance than Moto G5 Plus, because although it has 1 GB lesser RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia Z5 also counts with an additional graphics processing unit. Moto G5 Plus has a bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Sony Xperia Z5, because although it has a SD card slot that supports 72 GB smaller, it also counts with 32 GB more internal storage.

The Moto G5 Plus has just a little bit longer battery performance than Xperia Z5, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity against 2900mAh. The Xperia Z5 counts with a better camera than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not nice for taking photos and/or video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Xperia Z5 also counts with a camera in the back with much more megapixels and a larger sensor taking more light and vivid colors.

Although Sony Xperia Z5 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Moto G5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Moto G5 Plus. If you are trying to save some money, you can get Moto G5 Plus, and give up a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
