Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a general score of 77.5, which is slightly better than the Motorola Moto G5 Plus's score of 74.6. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 construction is noticeably heavier but much thinner than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, and they were released only 2 months apart. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a processing unit that is just as good as the processing unit in Moto G5 Plus, they have 8 cpu cores and 4 GB of RAM.
The Moto G5 Plus features a bit better screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1080 x 1920px resolution, the Moto G5 Plus also counts with a just a bit better screen pixels density. Xiaomi Mi Max 2's camera is just as good as the Moto G5 Plus one, and although the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a much tinier camera aperture which is not good for low-light photos and videos and a smaller back-facing camera sensor which provides a lower image and video quality, they both have the same video frame rate, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a back-facing camera with a 12 megapixels resolution.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with a very superior storage for apps and games than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, and although they both have a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 128 GB, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 also has more internal memory capacity. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a really longer battery duration than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because it has 5300mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh.
Although Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is a better device, it costs more than Moto G5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Moto G5 Plus. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Xiaomi Mi Max 2, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Moto G5 Plus, resigning some features and specifications.
