The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is a bit better than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, getting a overall score of 81.2 against 74.6. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 body is heavier but thinner than the Motorola Moto G5 Plus, and they were released with only 6 months difference. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has a screen that's just as good as the Motorola Moto G5 Plus one, because although the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has a little less pixels per inch in the screen, it also counts with a slightly better 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution and a larger screen.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has a way bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Moto G5 Plus, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal storage. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 features just a little better processing power than Moto G5 Plus, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 also has a higher amount of RAM.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2's camera is very similar to the camera in Moto G5 Plus, and although the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for low light captures and a tinier back camera sensor capturing less light and washed colors, they both have the same video definition, a camera with a 12 megapixels and the same video frame rates.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Motorola Moto G5 Plus, because it has a 3400mAh battery capacity.
Although Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Motorola Moto G5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Motorola Moto G5 Plus. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, otherwise you can save some money and get the Motorola Moto G5 Plus, giving up a couple specs and features.
