Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is slightly better than Moto G5 Plus, with a general score of 76.6 against 74.6. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 construction is a lot newer and just a little thinner, but a lot heavier than the Moto G5 Plus. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 and Moto G5 Plus have incredibly similar CPUs, and although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processor.

The Moto G5 Plus has a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a really smaller screen and a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 1920px, it also counts with a just a little better quantity of pixels per inch in the screen. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 shoots much better pictures and videos than Moto G5 Plus, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture, and they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also counts with a lot more mega-pixels camera in the back and a bigger back-facing camera sensor capturing better quality videos and pictures.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features as much storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos as the Motorola Moto G5 Plus, both have equal 64 GB internal memory capacity and a slot for an SD memory card that supports a maximum of 128 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a superior battery performance than Moto G5 Plus, because it has a 5020mAh battery size.

Although Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a better device, it costs more than Moto G5 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Moto G5 Plus. If you are trying to save some money, you can get the Moto G5 Plus, letting go some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
