Huawei Mate X has a general score of 89.4, which is better than the Moto G5S Plus's 74.8 general score. Huawei Mate X's body is newer than the Moto G5S Plus's, but it's a lot heavier and thicker. Huawei Mate X has a bit sharper screen than Motorola Moto G5S Plus, because it has a much better 2200 x 2480 resolution, a lot larger screen and a little bit better display pixel density.
The Huawei Mate X has a very superior storage capacity for applications and games than Moto G5S Plus, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 448 GB more internal storage. The Huawei Mate X counts with just a little better hardware performance than Motorola Moto G5S Plus, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate X also has a higher amount of RAM memory.
The Huawei Mate X has a way better battery life than Motorola Moto G5S Plus, because it has a 4500mAh battery size. Moto G5S Plus takes just a bit better photographs and videos than Huawei Mate X, although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for capturing images and/or video in low light situations and a back facing camera with way less megapixels.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Motorola Moto G5S Plus, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Motorola Moto G5S Plus. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Huawei Mate X, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Motorola Moto G5S Plus, giving up a couple features and specifications.
