The Galaxy S8 is slightly better than the Moto G5S Plus, getting a global score of 81.7 against 74.8. Galaxy S8's body is just a bit lighter and thinner than Moto G5S Plus, although both were released with only 3 months difference. The Galaxy S8 features a bit faster processing unit than Motorola Moto G5S Plus. They have the same number of cores and 4 GB of RAM memory.
The Galaxy S8 features a sharper display than Moto G5S Plus, because it has more pixels per inch of display, a lot better resolution of 1440 x 2960px and a bit larger screen. The Samsung Galaxy S8 counts with a slightly better storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Motorola Moto G5S Plus, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Samsung Galaxy S8 also has an external SD slot that supports up to 256 GB.
Galaxy S8 counts with a battery lifetime that's just as good as the Moto G5S Plus one. The Samsung Galaxy S8 takes a bit better photos and videos than Motorola Moto G5S Plus, because although it has a camera in the back with less MP resolution and a worse video resolution, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture.
Samsung Galaxy S8 costs more than Moto G5S Plus, but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
