Xperia 5 II has a general score of 87.2, which is better than the Moto G5S Plus's 74.8 general score. Xperia 5 II's construction is a lot newer, thinner and just a little lighter than the Moto G5S Plus. The Sony Xperia 5 II counts with a bit sharper display than Moto G5S Plus, because it has a little bit more pixels per inch of display, a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2520 and a bit bigger screen.

The Sony Xperia 5 II has much more storage capacity for apps and games than Moto G5S Plus, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that allows up to 1000 GB and 128 GB internal storage. Xperia 5 II has just a little better hardware performance than Moto G5S Plus, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xperia 5 II also has a higher amount of RAM.

Xperia 5 II features improved battery duration than Motorola Moto G5S Plus, because it has a 33 percent greater battery size. Xperia 5 II has a better camera than Motorola Moto G5S Plus, because although it has a worse (4K) video definition and a back facing camera with less mega-pixels resolution, it also counts with a larger aperture to capture better low light photography.

Although Xperia 5 II is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Moto G5S Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto G5S Plus. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Xperia 5 II, else you can save some money and get the Moto G5S Plus, letting go a couple features and specifications.
