Xperia XZ2 Premium has a global score of 82.2, which is just a bit better than Moto G5S Plus's 74.8 general score. The Xperia XZ2 Premium construction is newer than the Moto G5S Plus's, although it's a lot heavier and much thicker. Xperia XZ2 Premium has a bit more powerful processing unit than Motorola Moto G5S Plus, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has more RAM.

The Xperia XZ2 Premium has an incredibly better screen than Motorola Moto G5S Plus, because it has a much better 2160 x 3840 resolution, a much better pixel density and a quite bigger display. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium captures slightly better pictures and videos than Moto G5S Plus, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a bigger aperture for better photos in low light situations and a much more mega pixels back-facing camera.

Xperia XZ2 Premium features a bigger storage for games and applications than Motorola Moto G5S Plus, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a SD extension slot that allows up to 400 GB. Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with improved battery performance than Motorola Moto G5S Plus, because it has an 18% larger battery capacity.

Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it is way more expensive than Moto G5S Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto G5S Plus. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xperia XZ2 Premium, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Moto G5S Plus, resigning a couple features and specifications.
