The Xperia Z5 Premium has a general score of 79.8, which is slightly better than the Moto G5S Plus's general score of 74.8. The Xperia Z5 Premium design is somewhat thinner than Moto G5S Plus, but it's just a little bit heavier and was released around 23 months before. Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a much more vibrant display than Moto G5S Plus, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also has a much higher screen pixels density and a way better resolution of 3840 x 2160.

Xperia Z5 Premium has a bit faster processing unit than Motorola Moto G5S Plus, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with an extra graphics processor. Motorola Moto G5S Plus has more memory to store more apps and games than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 128 GB against 200 GB, it also counts with more internal memory.

The Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a little better battery duration than Motorola Moto G5S Plus, because it has a 14 percent larger battery size. Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a much better camera than Moto G5S Plus, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same (4K) video quality, the Xperia Z5 Premium also has a much more MP back camera and a larger aperture for better low light captures.

Although Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more than Moto G5S Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Moto G5S Plus. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Moto G5S Plus, letting go some specs and features.
