Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy J8 is just a bit better than the Motorola Moto G6, getting a global score of 76.7 against 72.1. The Samsung Galaxy J8 design is a little bit heavier but a bit thinner than the Motorola Moto G6, and both of them were released with only a few months difference. Moto G6 features a brighter screen than Galaxy J8, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a much better screen pixel density and a way higher 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution.
Samsung Galaxy J8 features a way bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Moto G6, because it has 32 GB more internal memory and an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 256 GB. Samsung Galaxy J8 and Moto G6 both have similar processing units, and although the Samsung Galaxy J8 has a greater amount of RAM, they both have 8 cores.
The Motorola Moto G6 shoots a little bit better photographs and videos than Galaxy J8, because although it has a camera with much less mega-pixels and a smaller diafragm aperture which is not recommended for taking pictures or video in low-light environments, it also counts with a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and a bigger back-facing camera sensor.
Samsung Galaxy J8 features a little longer battery duration than Motorola Moto G6, because it has a 3500mAh battery size.
