Xperia 1 III has a general score of 93.3, which is much better than Moto G6's global score of 72.1. Xperia 1 III's body is a lot newer and a bit thinner than the Moto G6's, although it's also somewhat heavier. Xperia 1 III has a much better looking screen than Motorola Moto G6, because it has a little bigger display, way more pixels per inch of display and a lot better resolution of 1644 x 3840 pixels.
The Xperia 1 III features a much bigger memory to store more games and applications than Moto G6, because it has 224 GB more internal memory capacity and a SD card slot that holds up to 1 TB. Xperia 1 III counts with just a little better performance than Motorola Moto G6, and although they both have 8 cores, the Xperia 1 III also has a larger amount of RAM.
Xperia 1 III captures better photographs and videos than Motorola Moto G6, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and a same resolution back-facing camera, the Xperia 1 III also has a way bigger sensor taking much better quality videos and photographs, a larger aperture and faster video frame rate.
Xperia 1 III has a way better battery duration than Motorola Moto G6, because it has a 50% bigger battery size.
Although Sony Xperia 1 III is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Motorola Moto G6, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Motorola Moto G6. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Sony Xperia 1 III, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Motorola Moto G6, resigning some specs and features.
